lots of people say never shows ur hands and never do table talk while you are involved in big hands. but i think there is no universal way of playing poker. Sometimes (remember just sometimes), table talk can help you. So as showing ur cards.
a few interesting hands. (2-5 no limit) i play loose-agg
1. I got AA. everyone limpin. I repop to 50. SB called so quick. Plus, i noticed he was holding his chips ready. it looks like he could not wait to call. Instantly, I mark him as JJ-KK,AK range. (AK or JJ more likely as he might repop with QQ or KK) flop shows no face cards and rainbow. he checks, i bet 70. He repop to 200 with about 500 behind. I went into tank. He does bluff sometimes but is still a tight-agg player. If he got a set, he would probabaly fish me as he knows I am fully capable of betting 70 dollars on air and continue firing on nothing (I shows one stone cold bluff before). plus the fact that he wants to call my preflop raise so bad which gave him low chances on hands like xx(x<10). so i pushed allin for about 600. he folds after short thinking. i showed AA to purposely bulid some credit on betting. he anounced he folded qq but i doubt it.
2. not long after hand 1. utg raise to 35, utg+1 called. (utg got 300 behind) i didnt see utg+1's stack which turns out to be the biggest mistake. i call with kq off. flop comes 673 two spades. utg bet 50. i do give him credit even he bets fairly small here. i gave him big over pair. utg+1 called as well. ehh... what does that mean? flush draw or over pair too? if he got set or two pair he will raise on such a big draw flop. additionally, he played fairly tight. i dunt think he will call 7bb with 76 or 63 in early position. k. utg+1 has no set, no two pairs. utg got over pair. Time to dance! so reraise to 150. utg went into tank for so long and fold. this proves my thought. however, utg+1 thought for long and shoved for about 170 total. i have to call now. he showed qq and i lost. utg claimed kk.
in this hand, i played horrible. utg+1 made a crying shove as he didnt have much to lose. i didnt look at his chips when i bluffed. the pot size, his money involved both forced him to call or shove.
3. 3 people limpin pot. i am in middle of the three. all check on flop (57J two spades). turn was q of h, 1st guy bet 15, i call 15 with flush draw, btn raise to 40. both called. river was a 7 again. 1st guy check. i got nothing and have to bet to win. so i bet 50 to represent the 7. surprisingly, btn repops to 150 with 50 left. 1st guy folds. now it is on me. eh...... this is such a weird reraise. it doesnt make sense at all. if he has two pair or set on turn, his turn repop was fairly weak not enough to knock out flush draw at all. but i give him a q or j on the turn. but river bet totally contradicts with it. plus, why didnt he shove? leaving 50 behind for no apparent reasons. while i was thinking, he was talking to other players on sports. so i did a test. i was holding two piles of 100 chips and pretend to put him all in, also said "i got a 5, i think u have a busted flush draw." i noticed he immediately turned over his face to me, after 3 secs, he said "call me then". i put him allin and he folds right away.
4. just wanna mention the river. i got a flush vs 2nd pair. he leads out all the way. on the river, his top pair became 2nd. he bets35. i repop to 95. he asked "u rivered flush" i said to him right away "i do. fold ur hand and save ur money." i even started singing after. reason behind it? i know he is loose player. i know he knows i am loose too. In SOME scenarios, the problem about loose player is the bigger u (other loose player) bets, the less credit he gave u. The calmer u look, the weaker they think ur hand is. i am telling him the truth. i know he won't believe me. so he called and lost. he said "i knew u r probably telling the truth, but u talked me into the hands. the real flush won't bullshit this much.
