with the stack sizes in the actual hand, leading out with top two is fine. your spr was just over 2, so you are pot commited with this hand. you can also
let BB cbet. he had only one potsize bet left and would likely put it in with his overpair and you are ahead of his range. even if button raise over the cbet i would still call since he probably just tried to isolate the cbet with pair+draw type hand.
if everyone is deep, say 500 behind, then it would be difficult to play dry top two. i agree with most of what muyir said. I would check and see waht happens. if bb cbets and everyone fold, I would prob checkraise allin. if everyone check to button who is laggy, i might also cr and hope to take it down. easy fold after bet and raise. if it is checked through, no disaster since your hand is weak.
again, the important thing is not how to play top two in sb, but why would you be in this position? you should only be playing strong hand in sb in a multiway 3bet pot, so on 79x flop, if you have top two you should have at least a gutshot to go with it (say jt97ss). play only cards that work well together oop, then you won't be in this predicament. say you have jj97 instead of jj98 so you have top two. it is a fold in sb after a raise. in late position, you can call with jj97, or reraise if it is jt97ss if you are deep enough. in deep stack plo, position is everything. |
