Maybe there is a reson to do so, but still i think it is better to know whether you are behind preflop with AQs.
AQs is somehow trouble hand, if you hit Q, you worry about KK, if you hit A, you worry about AK, and you could lose big to Ax two pairs, to whom could flod to you 3 bet preflop.
I have one time AQs flat call hit Q and run in to pocket Qs.
From his 3 BB raise, i would rule out QQ, AK,88 in which cases he would be happy to raise bigger to just got SB and BB AT THIS STAGE, in stead of risking to see the flop.
[Flop:Ah Ks 8d
C-bet, it is a rainbow, i would certainly rule out AA and KK, since he can not resist to slow play monster set this flop.
Also he can not have QQ, otherwise his is nuts to bet QQ at AK flop.
Could be a good laydown.
but let's see, what could hurt you? Nothing likely. Besides what he put you on?
AJ or AT, top pair now with a weak draw, he can still push you, then what he had?
AQ, KQ,and KhJh.
but i would not put him on KQ, since it has great shown value but not as strong as AQ(nearly unfoldable hand)
so i would narrow down him to AQ or KhJh and it sounds a call.
Anyway, it is just analysis, not flawless, the point is, David may make a world-class laydown here, but the price for being able to doing so- you also could miss the value here.
so it is just even, nobody can make big laydown 100% correctly. |
