should we always assume our opponents are terrible in poker?
"这样的baord对手拿了55也很难跟,而这正是墙最需要的。"
This seems correct but who would in the right mind call pre-flop with 5s 1/3 pot and fold to over cards after flop? Is he trying to set farming or what? He is really in a shove or fold situation as well after the miniraise. If he calls preflop he should be going all the way anyway regardless of the board. If he comes over the top preflop what does 墙 do? pocket 2s have the most fold equity preflop, so it should be pushed to use its equity to the full. miniraising to me is to induce your big stack opponents to call because you give him odds, even though some people might deem it as super strength( which is probably the only reason you would do this to increase your fold equity preflop), most of the time they will come along which is not something you want to see when you are short stacked with pocket deuce.
I think the bottom line is that 墙 is short stacked. He can't afford to play fancy with pocket 2s(like miniraising to show super strength). I think it is a place to make it simple especially vs someone who are very loose preflop. Pushing hard and making him fold is definitely the correct play. |
