准备扔掉 $1,100

I have won "FullTilt Montreal Festival Main Events" ticket of $1,100 (which will hold for week long at Montreal, Canada, at end of September) one week ago. But I saw the news recently about FullTilt had a promotion related to Sponsorship Program:

"Win a Sponsorship ContractThe player that occupies the top spot on each Black Card Leaderboard at the end of every six-month (7/1/13 - 12/31/13) qualifying period will be offered a six-month Black Card Pro sponsorship contract. This contract is comprised of the following elements:

• 100% cashback on all cash game rake and tournament fees paid at Full Tilt Poker during the six-month term of the contract
• FTOPS and MiniFTOPS buy-ins to the total value of $20,000 OR a clearable Full Tilt Points bonus worth $20,000"

I got a later start and I need more focus on FullTilt online tournamnet if I want to win the MTT Leaderboard, so I am not going to playing the live tournament at Montreal. 我准备扔掉 $1,100 ticket.

I know FullTilt is a much more tough site than AbsolutePoker/UB and PartyPoker. It is a very tough task. It looks like I give away the small bird in my hand for chasing the big bird in the forest. But 人生能有几回搏? I will report the progress about twice per month.  I post here. By doing so, which will force me not give up so easily.

But it is not worth the time for me to come to 蒙特利尔 even with the $1,100 ticket money. I will rather spend the time to play poker online at home. So I will still扔掉 the $1,100.

I played the same kind of $1,100 buy-in tournament at that club in 2010. I still remembered the last hand I played over there. The tournament is near Final table, I am at button with As. I raised and got re-raise from BB, who is the chip leader. I 4 beted, and he pushed all-in with 6s. The flop came with a 6.

The club is nice. There is a bar at the other site of the poker room. The liquid/alcohol are free for players. The girls (French mixed) worked there are beautiful.

I made a mistake. I was not aware it is a Live Event satellite when I  was registing.

The current monthly rank #1 "analyser2" from Hungary. He also ranked #1 on July and #1 on August. He played most on Super Turbo and Turbo satellites. He played 18,331 tournament/satellites at FullTilt, which listed 1st for volume at FullTilt. His total profit at FullTilt is nagetive (loss) $10,006. I guess he depends on rakeback for survive.

The current monthly rank #2 is "Silent_One69" from Canada. He played 2,296 tournament/satellites with Profit $22,815.

The current monthly rank #3 is "Jack4339" (me). I played 5,035 tournament/satellites with Profit 285,338.
I also have won most online poker tournament before Black Friday (data from ThePokerDB.com, it no longer collects data  after Black Friday). Now the only site had the data is PocketFives.com, it only counts the tournament with more than 75 players. I had 232 tournament winning so far, which also is the most.

The amazing thing is the current rank #1 played over 16 hrs with 306 tournament/satellites (which not include Re-Entry and Multi-Entry tournament/satellites) today. (the rank #2 played 161 tournament/satellites and I played 106 tournamnet/satellites today.) The MTT leaderboard contest has become the volume of Turbo/Super Turbo satellites (most are single table or less than 18 players) contest. The volume is more important than the skills.

In order to chase the rank #1, I have to increase the volume much more, which means I need play on Super Turbo and Turbo satellites only. By not playing big normal speed buy-in tournament at FullTilt and other sites, I will miss to win far more money than the FullTilt Sponsorship Contract offerring.

So I have decided for the money and my health, I am no longer to chase the FullTilt MTT #1 rank.

Finally, I have to say sorry for give up so easily.
