Well, i guess this is the exact example for the post "Time to pay" and discussion.
I kind of don't agree with the analysis 不会打比赛 and kind of agree with Mirabelle.
It might be the difference of playing styles. I would not say who is in which level first.
First point, i don't think Durrr intended to push trip 2s way and Beny was trying to push Higher flush away, Either (Even he said so).
Even as crazy as Durrr, he would not try to push trip 2s way in such a big pot and dry flop due to the low possibility of success. I think he is just try to get any pocket pair and any high kicker away. But "accident-ly" wipe out a trip 2s holding by a over-cautious player.
Here is what i think, if Durr has a 2, this flop is probably the best, and safest, he could ever get. Correct me if wrong, there is really not much reason to make a big raise with a 2 in early position, it will just drive worse way and get caught by better hands.
If Eastgate want to play safe, he can re-raise at flop, if he want to slowplay (i think he can with this hand), call flop, and turn and river. Call flop and fold at turn ... ... i see no reason except that he is just play scaring money.
These two hands probably just fall right to the category "Time to Pay" hands, i see no reason to fold trip 2 and T high flush here. YES, we ALL see trips get sucked by high kicker,
Baby flush eaten by Higher one, but Generally the chances for these to happen is much more smaller then the chances you been (not intentionally) bluffed away by two pairs, sets or even straight. So it is better just prepare to pay in this occasions, instead struggle for a "Great Fold" and make occasional mistakes. One single mistake (wrong folding) could cost a lot. |
