卡雅‧达特在1999年误打误撞进入扑克圈。她的先生是职业扑克玩家，在一场赌注很高的底池限注扑克比赛途中，他离席去上洗手间，达特代替先生玩牌，虽然她从没玩过扑克，也不是很清楚该如何玩，但她却打出了好牌，赢得有生以来第一个底池。

在英国卡地夫（Cardiff）举办的重要锦标赛“六国扑克杯”中，达特靠着天生的扑克才能，获得亚军。2005年“WPO世界扑克公开赛”在美国密西西比州Tunica举行的积分赛中，达特连续五次都只差一名就进入钱圈，由于主办单位十分赏识她的表现，因此聘请达特为该巡回赛的非官方“泡泡女郎” （英文中，“差一名就进入钱圈”与泡泡同音）。此外，达特在2006年的WSOP世界扑克锦标赛*中，两度赢得奖金，一次是底池限注的德州扑克比赛，另一次则是七张梭哈比赛。2007年3月，达特获得“EPT欧洲扑克巡回赛”华沙站赛事的第五名，赚进约8万5千美元奖金。
在2007年WSOP锦标赛中，达特在一周内两度打进决战桌，她在1000美元的无限注德州扑克比赛中获得第五名，而在1500美元的Razz比赛中，达特击败350多名对手，赢得第一条冠军手链，也拿下她职业扑克生涯中，第一场意义非凡的WSOP胜利。
达特经常出现在德国许多电视频道上，例如DSF、NDR、RTL等，高曝光率让达特成为德国最为人所知的女子扑克选手。除了扑克，达特也是职业的马匹育种人，并经常参加花式骑术比赛。
达特于2006年加入PokerStars扑克之星明星队，她在PokerStars扑克之星牌桌上的昵称为“Katja Thater”。

1.对手loose and smart, 会用很多牌 3xraise,例如：any pair, T9+, 小的同花连牌 65s,甚至更多,估计hand range在25--30%.
2.盲注 50/100 ，我只有9.5BB, 机会不多了，必须要抢筹码，除非对手是very tight的玩家，否则 all in forever. 这种情况下，我会all in "any pair /QJ/KJ/KQ/Ax"
